When it comes to dry skin conditions such as flakes, tightness, redness, irritation, peeling and fine lines we often seek ways we can intensively treat our skin in one go. For that, a moisturizing face mask is our best bet as these masks work to do just what we need, intensively treat dry skin concerns. On that note, finding the right moisturizing face mask can be hard to do as you want one that will give your skin the right amount of moisture you want and need. Today, I’ll be sharing my personal experience with a moisturizing face mask in this Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Tencel Sheet Mask review.
When looking for the right moisturizing sheet mask for you, there are a few things to consider. One being the level of moisture you want, two being the amount of hydration you want and three being if you need any additional treatments such as calming, anti-aging, firming, brightening, etc. So let’s take a look at the claims of this of this sheet mask in this Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Tencel Sheet Mask review.
– Calming Soothing
– Balances oil & water levels
– Restores skins barrier
As someone with combination dry sensitive acne prone skin, these claims are right up my alley! But of course, not claims are true until you look into the ingredients that make up this moisturizing face mask.
Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin,1,2-Hexanediol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Glycereth-26, Propanediol, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Panthenol, Betaine, Allantoin, Cellulose, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Sodium Hyaluronate, Centella Asiatica Extract, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Ceramide NP, Ceramide NS, Ceramide AP, Ceramide AS, Ceramide EOP, Phytosphingosine, Cholesterol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Carbomer, Arginine, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Acetate, PVM/MA Copolymer, polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer, Ethylhexylglycerin
Based on the ingredients analysis, the ingredients within the new formula, the Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Tencel Sheet Mask are rather safe in all categories! For a moisturizing, soothing, hydrating and anti-aging sheet mask, them having ingredients ranking this low on the risk scale is impressive!
Aside from the ingredients, the actual sheet mask has been a big change in this product upgrade. Instead of the original cotton one-side-fits-all sheet mask, this moisturizing face mask, the Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Tencel Sheet Mask is now made from a gauze type fabric to provide longer last product delivery. Not only that, the sheet mask now comes in a 2-piece design instead of 1. Meaning it is more customizable size wise making it easier for all face shapes to use. personally, for me, this is something I LOVE as I always have a problem with masks being too large for my face, resulting in myself having to rip, cut, and fold sheet masks so they fit well and sit properly on my skin.
In terms of the texture, I find the new gauze tencel sheet mask is much thinner and smoother compared to the original version. Below I have a comparison of the older formula and the new formula of the mask to better compare. The new sheet mask fits much better to my skin, hold the product on the skin longer and it much more flexible on the face.
The first thing I noticed when I touched the mask was how rich in moisture it was. It instantly felt much more moisturizing compared to the old formula. When I applied it to my skin, it had a very immediate cooling effect on the skin which felt great, especially in this summer heat. My skin instantly felt hydrated upon application and I also could feel my skin become moisturized. As per the directions, I left the Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Tencel Sheet Mask on for 15 minutes. After removing the mask, my skin felt amazingly moisturized, much more so compared to the old formula. In fact, my skin felt so moisturized and hydrated that I did not feel any need to apply my night cream to my face! On top of that, when I woke up the next morning, my skin was still extremely moisturized and looking very plump.
Overall, I am so impressed with this moisturizing face mask! It is a huge upgrade from the old formula which I already love. I now love this mask even more so to the point where it has quite possibly outcompeted my favourite brand mask from inn****e. One final note, as someone with acne prone combination dry sensitive skin, I had zero irritation, no clogged pores, no breakouts, and no dry patches after using this mask. My skin absolutely felt amazing after and the results lasted at least into the second day after use. I was so impressed!
