Probably everyone has popped a pimple at least once in their lifetime. But did you know it’s more important to treat and manage your acne after you have squeezed it out? Improper treatment of acne can actually end up with worse problems such as scabbing, scarring, pimple marks, and even skin infection. Also, squeezing out a pimple when its not ready may result in worse acne, so regardless of your impulse, it’s best to resist the urge.
In general, pimples can be hard to get rid of. Also, continuously going to a dermatologist may be expensive and sometimes may even result in negative effects such as redness and dryness. Thus, people have been looking for DIY methods on how to cure acne naturally at home. With patience and the proper home care remedies, acne can be easily treatable and managed.
A simple easy, effective way for post acne treatment is using the Teca 1% Barrier Cream. (To see the product detail, check out this video)
The Teca 1% Barrier Cream has been launched not too long ago, but has been sought by many people. With its popularity, there also has been many questions that have been asked regarding the cream. We have gathered some of the most commonly asked questions and provided answers as best as we can.
Q1. What is the ingredient?
A. Key ingredients are 1% Centella asiatica and Allantoin! The Centella asiatica not only helps treat and improve post acne but also calms the skin damaged by UV rays. This key component helps with regenerating the skin and restoring the damaged skin barrier. The Teca 1% barrier cream also contains Allantoin, an active moisturizing ingredient found in various plants such as comfrey, horse chestnut, and bear berry. Allantoin is often called a wonder ingredient that helps soften and soothe irritated skin.
Q2. Can it be used with Vitamin C and AHA/BHA? How can I use them together?
A. Yes! You can use it with any other products. It will help with pimple marks and pigmentation care even more when used together. We recommend to use the Vitamin C or AHA/BHA ingredients first in a serum type and then apply a layer of the teca cream specifically onto the post acne areas.
Q3. Does it work for acne prone sensitive skin types?
A. Yes! It is a product for all skin types. But considering the ingredients and it’s purpose, it will serve best for those who’s looking for a post acne care item. It will help to heal the skin and boost collagen synthesis especially after extracting pimples. And will help prevent pimple marks and pigmentation.
Q4. Will it remove old acne scars?
A. This cream works most effective when it’s used right after extracting a pimple. Think of it more as a preventive meaure to take before pimple marks or pigmentation takes place. To fade pigmentation, ingredients like Vitamin C is what to go for. Some of the product recommendations will be [KLAIRS] Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop or [BY WISHTREND] Pure Vitamin C 21.5 Advanced Serum
Q5. Can you use it to improve dry patches and skin?
A. Yes, you can also apply this onto dry patches and areas on your face. It is light and has a fresh finish but still is moisturizing. You can use it specifically onto those dry areas after applying moisturizer all over your face.
Q6. Can I use it under sunscreen or other base makeup?
A. Yes, it works great under sunscreen or base makeup! You won’t find it hard at all to apply sunscreen or base makeup on top the areas you applied the teca cream.
Q7. How many days do I use it?
A. It depends on your skin condition but you can of course use it as much as you can in a day. But if you want to see the best result of calming irritated sensitive skin or to prevent scarring and pigmentation, we recommend you to use it when you do your skin care in the morning and at night after the moisturizer step.
Q8. Does it help with rosacea?
A. Unfortunately, it doesn’t directly help solve rosacea. But thanks to the gotu kola ingredient, it does have great calming factor. This will help calm skin that has been irritated and sensitive from Rosacea.
Q9. Does it stay balmy or does it dry down? Will it transfer easily on my pillow?
A. Once you apply it onto the skin, it will adhere easily and well onto the skin. Another great factor is that it absorbs very well and effectively. And since it works effectively onto specific areas like post acne spots and dry patches, you won’t have to worry about stains on your pillow. You can either apply a thin layer and dab gently to absorb them into the skin or you can leave a thick layer on top and leave it without padding to absorb them.
Q10. Please recommend when to add this cream in the order of a skincare routine?
A. For both morning and night time routine, we recommend to add this cream at the very last step of your skincare. In the order of 1) cleanser 2) toner 3) serum 4) moisturizer 5) teca cream. And as we mentioned above, you don’t have to worry about applying sunscreen or makeup on top afterwards.
