5/5I love using clay masks to decongest the clogged pores in my t-zone but because my skin is dry I'm always left with that uncomfortable dry, tight feeling when I wash then off. I've worked very hard to repair my damaged moisture barrier & for the past few months my skin is in its best condition so I'm VERY careful of what I put on my skin. I saw the Chico Y Chica Topping Star Mask on Wishtrend & it sounded amazing but the added "skincaretainment" aspect of a bubbling clay mask is what really got me to place an order. After the first use I was sold! Not only does this mask decongest my pores but it leaves my skin feeling comfortable, soft, supple & BRIGHTER as well! It's easy to combine the 2 parts & the bubbling action isn't as intense as the one from Elizavecca (which dries my skin out horribly) so I can leave it on for the full 10 minutes with no problems. The kit comes with enough packets to make 12 masks & there's a nice, sturdy mask brush included. I've even passed a few on to friends & they all love the mask as much as I do!
4/5Although I didn't experience my pores being fully cleaned out like the silly advertisement declares they would be, my skin was very soft & my pores were less noticeable. I would say my results were on par with a high quality mud mask.
To use the mask, open the clay pack & add 1 packet of the activator. Mix well; it should have a mud/pudding like texture. You want to mix & apply it to your face quickly, before it starts foaming. After applying to your face, it should start foaming up, which feels like tickling/itchiness (I didn't enjoy this part so much). The bubbling/fizzing subsides as a the mask dries & in about 10 minutes time, there should be a thin, dry layer of mask left on your face, similar to how most mud masks look when they dry. Rinse off & your done!
If you are not a fan of tickling or itchy sensations, this mask isn't for you.
